When I turned 18 I knew I wanted to get my officials license.  It is really easy to get your patch.  All you have to do is visit and start your application.  To become an official, you must first pick which sport interest you and apply.  Once you are approved, you must take an online test every year in that sport to retain your patch.  I am licensed in baseball, softball, and basketball.  There is a small fee to become an official, but compared to the money that you can make, it is just pennies.

Okay, so I get my second paycheck for 2012 and my net pay is different. Supposedly the government did not get the tax tables out until last week. Surprise! The tax tables were lowered by a little bit. Every year they know that the tax tables are due by January 1st to most employers, but what I have been told is that hardly ever are they published for use by Jan 1st. Also, Congress decidedd to give us a break and for 2 months only pay 4.2% instead of 6.2% in Social Security Tax. But, the thing is in March they may vote to go back to 6.2% and then our paychecks will be smaller again. Why does it take so long for them to make these decisions. If they know it will be coming up in January why not start discussing in October so it is finalized before the new tax year starts!

Good decision by the UConn coaches, staff members and others in the sports programs. Better to be proactive about these issues than to deal with a mess later.

STORRS, Conn. (AP) _ University of Connecticut coaches, staff members and others in its sports programs will be required to report any suspicions of sexual and child abuse under new rules approved by UConn’s trustees.

The board voted Wednesday to approve the policies.

They come in the wake of the child sex abuse scandal at Penn State, where a former assistant football coach is charged with molesting 10 boys and two school officials are charged with failing to properly report the alleged behavior.

UConn supervisors and many other employees already must report complaints of possible sexual assault. The new policies add provisions for coaches, sports staff members and others who are considered mandated reporters.

Exemptions are made only for employees who hold confidentiality privileges by law, such as counselors and doctors.

The practice of blogging takes committment and dedication.  A person can learn many new things by being involved with this hobby.  I agree that making an appointment with yourself is a good idea and with the use of technology such as Iphones, Google, and IPads, the reminders are instantaneous.  I agree that starting off with small goals is much more important than doing too much.  Smaller amounts of information can be much more beneficial.
